Ahhhhh, yes the first days of Spring are upon us. Yes I know it's a picture of spider webs in Fall, but I couldn't find an image of Spring that I like so there you go.
Gillian Anderson as Miss Havisham in BBC version of Great Expectations, why did no one tell me about this!?!?!
I had no idea this was happening!!! Evidently BBC is making a rendition of Great Expectations with Gillian Anderson as Miss Havisham. And just look at her in the costume! Doesn't she look AMAZING!!! I just recently caught the Great Expectations with Helena Bonham Carter on Netflix. That one was lovely, but this one looks fantastic as well. And really... you just can't have too many Miss Havisham's. I think it is so funny how her character has progressed though the years from a withered old woman to almost a sexy ghost. But, seriously that dress is to DIE for! If I had any extra time this year it would all be put to making this my Halloween costume.
Absolutely STUNNING!!! The subtle shading is just amazing!!!
Oooooooo doesn't it look all cozy and spooky inside. It's the perfect place to have tea while listening to the wind howl outside.
A haunting, but lovely piece of the Theatre Bizarre off season. I wish I had this in my back sooooooo bad!!!!
I have completely fallen in love with this image! First of all it's gorgeous, but second of all it reminds me of everything thing that is amazing about Japanese Ghost stories. They are the only type of stories that really stick with me over time. A few of them still to this day spook me out, and I heard them YEARS ago. I have to admit when I walk to my car alone at night the horrible thought of "She Bear" creeps in, and I quicken my pace.
I love this image so very much. First of all it is by Edward Gorey who I have admired for decades. And secondly just look at how adorable these proper ladies are tossing around the lovely little skull they have found. For some strange reason it reminds me tea parties with my friends. Well, they don't usually get this wild, but you get the idea.
This is such a cozy picture. It makes me want to just wrap myself up in a blanket with tea and a good book. I found it on my new favorite Facebook page called Creepy Places. And they really do have some amazing images.
I finally finished the Pyewacket painting!!! And I have to say I went to town decorating the frame for him. But he deserves it I think. I had so much fun making the purple flower. And I came up with a great new way for sealing them.
