This week I'm working on a custom order based on this lovely little gold comb. It's for a beautiful fall bride. I just can't wait to see how it all comes together.
I recently had a custom order for a pink tiara. If you follow my work you'll know that's a little out of my comfort zone. But I'm really happy with the color pink I came up with. It looks adorable! So I might just have to add it to my tiara line.
I'm so excited! I was finally able to see pictures of the White Party that took place in Palm Springs, CA on 4/27/2015. The reason why I'm so excited is that the organizers of the event contacted me and wanted me to make a tiara for Kelly Osbourne. She was going to be crowned Queen of the party that year, and they wanted a crown that suited her style. Doesn't she look AMAZING!!! I know you can only see the tips of the clock hands through her hair, but I really don't care because her hair looked FANTASTIC so I wouldn't want her to change it for the world! (for more pictures of the event click this link).
Here is a beautiful little set I've been working on for the last couple of weeks. Its a custom order for an Evil Queen costume. Her amazing dress incorporates both silver and gold elements so I had to reflect that in the necklace and clock hand tiara.
A very sweet customer contacted me a little while ago. She wanted one of my tiaras for her Steampunk wedding all dolled up in a distressed copper finish. I was more than happy to oblige. I hope her big day is amazing, and I am ecstatic that something I made could play a tiny part in it.
This was a fun commission, and something I have not been asked to do before. An October bride came to me a few months ago wishing to commission a wedding set, (earrings and a necklace), in black but with purple crystals. She was very specific about the color which is a gorgeous color of purple, almost an Alexandrite color. The only issue is, is that there are two types of crystals I use on my items, flat back and montee. Montee crystals are the ones that are in a setting. Unfortunately, the color she wanted doesn't come in a Montee, and you really can't exchange one for the other in certain designs. So I was able to come up with a way to change the color of the crystals. And actually they look a lot more sparkly, and do change color in the light just like Alexandrites do. So I was VERY pleased. And so was she. She came back a couple of weeks ago for a matching tiara.
Here is a picture of the necklace I've been working on for that antique silver wedding set. It turned out so well I can't even believe it! I might have to make one for myself!
I'm working on an antique silver colored tiara today for a lovely Fall bride. It will end up being for an antique silver colored wedding set. Clock hand earrings, a lovely metal filigree necklace, and to top it all off a clock hand tiara. I'm so excited! I just love working in this kind of silver finish.
Today I'm making up a special pair of these earrings for a lovely bride in England. I just love it when something I make can play a little part in someone's special day.
The Cultural Gutter is running their annual Gutterthon!!! They have a campaign running on Indiegogo to raise money for their day to day operations, and to pay their writers for their amazing articles. Their site is a wonderful oasis on the internet, and well worth the donation. Once you start reading their content I guarantee you'll be hooked so check them out when you get the chance. Below are just a few thing I have made as perks for donations, but they have lots more.
