This tiara has been at least a year in the making. It was one of those project that I would start and stop, and start and stop. I wanted to get to just right. And so it is a tiara to make all special events sparkle just a little bit more.
I wanted this hair stick to have the feel of a edgy hair bow, but with a serious noir steampunk flair. Just the perfect thing to wear to that midnight tea party!
I hope 2016 is amazing and filled with joy for all! Oh, and full of tiaras too of course, and moments that are tiara worthy as well.
My new favorite tiara I just finished called Byzantine Delight for all my Steampunk tea drinking ladies out there!!!
I just LOVE how the finish came out on this tiara! The copper bronze color is just so warm. I call it Byzantine delight my new favorite Tiara that I just finished.
I am taking full advantage of this beautiful day by working on a few new tiara ideas. This one has a sort of dark fairy motif going on. My porch has been surrounded by huge firefly and butterflies this whole month so I'm guessing they are rubbing off on me.
Soooo ... I was looking at images of Byzantine art, and mermaids when I came up with the idea for this tiara. I know the two ideas don't seem to go together. And every time I say that to someone they question me a lot. Realize my image searches are CRAZY. And when I start a google search for art you never know where I will end up. I should probably just say steampunk mermaid to make it easier on everyone. But you have to admit Byzantine and mermaid together does make a pretty tiara.
Summer always makes me think of traveling 1920's carnivals, gypsy caravans, and running away with the circus. Giving me the most unbelievable urge to work with peacock feathers (don't worry it makes sense in my brain). So with images of bohemian tribal steampunk dancers I made this filigree hair clip.
I recently had a custom order for a pink tiara. If you follow my work you'll know that's a little out of my comfort zone. But I'm really happy with the color pink I came up with. It looks adorable! So I might just have to add it to my tiara line.
Finishing up this sweet little hair comb on this beautiful afternoon.
Working on a few new clock hand hair combs today. While enjoying this weird, crazy California weather while watching The woman in Black 2. I have to say the 1940's atmosphere seems to be fueling my work nicely.
EJPcreations is a mad scientist of a woman specializing in creating tiaras, necklaces, and fascinators, with a noir, and gothic flair. All adornments have a hint of vampire elegance, a dash of Steampunk bravado, and plenty of Neo-Victorian sensibilities.
